TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Shelby, North Carolina, 28150 Pay Information $1,876 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Labor & Delivery Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required, must have Labor & Delivery experience. License: Current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state in which you work and reside or meet the licensure requirements in your home state for National License Compact (NLC) states; for Non-NLC states, current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner required in the state where the RN works. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Must-Have: Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider status according to the American Heart Association standards. Proficiency in English (Speak, Read, Write) Job Description: - Collect data pertinent to the healthcare consumer's health or the situation. - Analyze assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnoses, problems, and issues. - Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the healthcare consumer or the situation. - Develop a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes. - Implement the identified plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment. - Delegate elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers according to applicable legal or policy parameters or principles. - Evaluate progress toward the attainment of goals and outcomes. - Practice in a manner that is congruent with cultural diversity and inclusion principles. - Communicate effectively in all areas of practice. - Collaborate with healthcare consumers and other key stakeholders in nursing practice. - Demonstrate leadership in the professional practice setting and the profession. - Seek knowledge and competence reflecting current nursing practice and promoting futuristic thinking. - Integrate evidence and research findings into practice. - Contribute to quality nursing practice. - Evaluate own and others' nursing practice according to professional practice standards, guidelines, statutes, rules, and regulations. - Utilize appropriate resources to plan, provide, and sustain evidence-based nursing services that are safe, effective, and fiscally responsible. - Practice in an environmentally safe and healthy manner. - Practice ethically. - Promote shared governance, or facility decision-making activities, developing and nurturing research to positively affect clinical outcomes and promotion. Physical Requirements: - Walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. - Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. - Intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, and touch. - Finger dexterity. - Critical thinking and ability to concentrate. - Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
