Job Description:
#AlliedJob SummaryThe role involves performing procedures in
accordance with departmental protocols and standards. You will
operate CT Scanners and associated equipment with a high level of
proficiency, including scanners, post-processing stations/programs,
IV contrast injectors, O2 and suction equipment, patient transport,
and patient monitoring equipment.Essential Functions* Examine
requests and verify orders for each assigned patient, consulting
with the Radiologist for any discrepancies.* Identify and assist
patients using two patient identifiers while offering a brief
explanation of the procedures.* Prepare patients for procedures
with full explanations and document appropriately.* Interview
patients for a complete medical history and review EMR's to obtain
pertinent clinical history.* Prepare and administer IV contrast
according to departmental protocols and record contrast type and
amount when requested.* Evaluate the technical quality of images
and consult with a Radiologist if needed.* Recognize abnormal
anatomy and process additional images or measurements as
instructed.* Inform nursing personnel of any changes in the
patient's condition and initiate life support measures if
necessary.* Assist in 'code blue procedures during medical
emergencies and practice proper sterile techniques.* Operate the
radiology computer system, enter orders, and charge
procedures/supplies.* Maintain the assigned work area in a neat and
orderly fashion and assist other medical personnel as needed.Skills
and Physical RequirementsThis position requires moderate to heavy
physical efforts in lifting and moving patients, equipment, and
supplies. You will need to walk, stand, sit, reach, stoop, bend,
push, and pull during normal operations. The role requires mental
capacity to understand clinical expertise or technology, motor
coordination to operate equipment, and intact senses of sight and
hearing. You must also practice radiation safety, MRI safety, and
proper ergonomics to maintain an effective, safe environment. A
minimum of 1-2 years of experience is required.Education and
CertificationGraduation from an accredited two-year AMA and ARRT
approved program in Radiologic Technology is required. ARRT (CT)
and BLS (AHA or ARC) certifications are mandatory.Additional
Information* Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 6:00 PM - 4:30 AM*
Sign-on and Relocation: Up to $1K*
Certification/Licensure/Experience Requirements: ARRT (CT), BLS
